GAR Foundation has some bittersweet news to share, as we wish our Program Officer Bronlynn Thurman all the best in her new professional endeavors. Bronlynn has been a part of our team for eight years, starting in a part-time program associate role, and growing into a full-time program officer position, with primary responsibility for our community development grant portfolio and oversight of our Essential Experiences℠ program with Akron Public Schools.
Bronlynn has been a wonderful colleague and friend. She cares deeply about Akron – particularly about its people, its neighborhoods, its equitable opportunities, its art, its bike paths, its hiking trails, and its food scene! We will miss her excellent work and thoughtful perspectives at the Foundation, but we know we will have many future occasions to work with her. Bronlynn has accepted a role at another organization in the region that cannot currently be disclosed; her last day at GAR will be June 28. Fortunately for us, she will continue to call downtown Akron home.
Thank you, Bronlynn! 💙 💚
