On Thursday, June 6, GAR officially celebrated the 46 teams of 2024-2025 Educator Initiative Grant (EIG) recipients! 🎉
The Andrew Jackson House Ballroom was filled with passionate educators that worked diligently to create transformative and engaging educational opportunities that they will begin implementing or continue next school year.
During the evening's program, EIG Program Manager Lucille Esposito said, "More than 300 teachers will be involved in the implementation of ideas that include urban and suburban gardens, virtual classrooms, authentic vocational opportunities for students with special needs, experiences for students and teachers to concentrate on enhancing mental health, and the list goes on. These innovative ideas and learning experiences will impact more than 4,500 students in Summit County."
