GAR Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Laura DiCola as its new Senior Program Officer for Education. With a distinguished career spanning law, education, and non-profit leadership, Laura brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing educational opportunities for all.
Laura DiCola joins GAR Foundation from the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health at the University of Chicago, where she served as Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Strategic Partnerships. At the TMW Center, Laura played a pivotal role in applying science, data, and technology to support early brain development, ensuring every child can reach their full potential.
Prior to her work at the TMW Center, Laura led strategic and policy initiatives at Summit Education Initiative, where she worked to increase educational attainment in Summit County. Her expertise in establishing cross-sector partnerships and advocating for policy reform has made a significant impact on early childhood education, K-12 schooling, and postsecondary education.

Laura holds a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, an M.A. in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University, and a B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University. She is deeply engaged in her community, serving on several boards including Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, Groundwork Ohio, and Women's Endowment Fund.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Laura is a dedicated family woman and avid traveler. She resides in Akron with her husband Howard Parr and enjoys spending time with her daughters and bonus daughters spread across the United States and Europe.
