GAR Foundation is pleased to announce two internal staff promotions, effective immediately. Rob Lehr, who joined GAR in 2018 as a Program Officer and most recently served as the Senior Program Officer, has been promoted to Vice President of Programs. Rob will oversee the grantmaking program team and communications.
Additionally, Kat Wentz, who joined the Foundation in 2022 as the Operations Coordinator, has been promoted to Operations Manager. Kat will take on additional leadership responsibilities in guiding the operations of the Foundation and Andrew Jackson House, the home offices for GAR Foundation and Knight Foundation’s Akron Program Director.
“Rob and Kat have shown exceptional dedication and leadership in their respective roles, contributing significantly to GAR Foundation's overall impact in the Greater Akron community. We are confident that they will take on these new responsibilities with the same focus and passion to help make Akron a more vibrant place," said GAR President Christine Amer Mayer.
