James (Jim) Staley enjoyed a 37-year career with Roadway and its related companies, where he held a number of positions nationwide, which culminated in his service as CEO of Roadway Corporation.
In addition to his long-time service on the GAR Foundation Distribution Committee, Jim is currently Lead Director of Milwaukee-based Douglas Dynamics, Inc., a publicly-traded company that manufactures residential and commercial snowplows.
He previously chaired the board of Roadrunner Transportation Systems. Jim is a 1971 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He later completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. Jim also served on the founding board of one of GAR’s important partners, Summit Education Initiative.
He is married to Patricia, and the pair have two children and two grandchildren. Believe it or not: Jim is rumored to own the most colorful, vibrant sock and tie collection on record.
