Over the last year, GAR Foundation has sharpened its grantmaking strategies to better adapt to the changing needs of the community. Christine Mayer, president of GAR Foundation, explains the changes the Foundation has made to the areas of economic, workforce, and community development, education, arts & culture.
While the Foundation will no longer have a separate funding category for nonprofit enhancement, GAR remains committed to supporting the health and effectiveness of Akron’s nonprofit community and will continue to offer various opportunities for nonprofits to build their capacity.
