The artwork of undergraduate students from Kent State University and University of Akron’s School of Art brighten the walls of the historic Andrew Jackson House, home to GAR’s offices from February-November. GAR celebrates the students and their work each year at a reception. This year’s exhibit will showcase 25 works of art that represent a diverse range of artistic mediums.

About the 2018 exhibition

The selection process and goal for this year’s GAR Show was to be as diverse as possible, showing a wide array of two-dimensional works in drawing, painting, textiles, printing, digital, and mixed-media.  With the addition of a glass display case, this year’s show has made room for three-dimensional works such as glass, ceramics, metals and jewelry; making for an all-encompassing studio arts show representative of the school of art programs at University of Akron and Kent State University.
